Calm Confidence Leads to Calm Surrender

Wow! It's been quite a while since I last posted. Life has taken me on a truly fascinating journey—one filled with heavy trials and burdens, yet leading me to a place of profound peace and the creation of incredible things. This journey can be summed up in one word: SURRENDER.

What comes to mind when you hear the word "surrender"? Take a moment to listen to your body and mind—what are they telling you? Surrender.

I'll admit, when I used to hear that word or when people would tell me to surrender, it would irritate me. I found myself digging my heels in and resisting even more. Whenever my dreams weren't unfolding as quickly or smoothly as I'd hoped, I'd push harder, trying to force them into existence. Have you ever found yourself doing the same?

Just like Caesar Milan, The Dog Whisperer, teaches dog owners to embody calm confidence, leading to their dogs' states of calm surrender, this concept holds immense power beyond dog training.

I first applied this method with our rescued dog, Cara, a "Tri-colored Carolina Mix"—a beautiful and energetic pup.

At the same time, my job was undergoing major transitions, leaving me feeling completely burned out and lacking confidence, let alone calm confidence. As I began implementing the laws of manifestation, which I regularly coach, I realized the importance of confidence, trust, and believing that what you desire also desires you. By leaning into this confidence and faith, I found myself growing calmer, surrendering to the how of it all. I didn't need to force anything—I knew it would be okay, and everything I needed and wanted would come to me.

As I surrendered, ideas flowed in, new students and clients reached out, and everything started falling into place effortlessly. I'm still in the process of transitioning, but the calm surrender is carrying me through. Whenever worries arise, I simply breathe, stand tall, connect to my confidence, and choose to believe that I am safe and thriving. Miracles happen, unexpected solutions present themselves—it's truly remarkable.

And you know what? This applies to singing too!

The key to good singing lies in breath—connecting to it from your core allows the sound to flow effortlessly. Yet, many singers, myself included, struggle with the belief that they need to control the sound, resulting in tension in the jaw, tongue, and neck—anything but calm surrender.

Most of my time is spent helping my students find confidence in their breath support and letting go of the tension controlling their sound. When they finally release it—a moment of calm surrender—the sound floats effortlessly and beautifully. It's astonishing and incredibly exciting!

In singing, in manifesting, in life, miraculous beauty unfolds when we anchor ourselves in calm confidence, leading to calm surrender. Try it out for yourself—you'll be amazed at what unfolds.
